- Check broker is using SSL for online trading (URL should have https:// instead of http://, and padlock icon will be showing in browser). Not using SSL is a security risk.
- Check with ESCA to confirm broker is registered for trading. This list does not guarantee they are.
- Commission charges are set by ESCA at 0.275% x trade value + 10 dhs for buy and sell orders (from DFM site). Minimum total charge is 75 dhs (as of May 2006). See FAQs page for more details. Brokers get to keep 0.15% of this amount, the rest is shared out amongst the market, the market regulator, and the Clearing Department.
